GRADES
Standards-based grading is a method of measuring student progress based on specific learning standards. Instead of receiving a single letter grade for an assignment or test, students are assessed on their mastery of individual skills and concepts. This means that they are graded on how well they demonstrate their understanding of specific learning goals, rather than just their overall performance. Standards-based grading helps teachers identify areas where students may need more support or challenge, and helps parents and students better understand how to improve their learning. By focusing on the skills and concepts that matter most, we can help our students succeed and reach their full potential.
Our grading scale is as follows: 4 (Exemplar) - 3 (Meets) - 2 (Progressing) - 1 (Beginning)
POWERSCHOOL
PowerSchool is an online grading and communication platform that allows you to easily keep track of your student's progress. Through PowerSchool, you can view your student's grades, attendance, and assignments at any time, from anywhere with an internet connection. This means that you can stay up-to-date on how your student is doing in class and be more involved in their learning. In addition, PowerSchool allows you to communicate with your student's teachers and school staff, so you can stay informed and work together to support your student's success. GOOGLE CLASSROOM
Google Classroom is an online learning platform that helps students and teachers stay organized and connected. Through Google Classroom, students can access and submit assignments, communicate with their teacher, and collaborate with their classmates in a secure and easy-to-use online environment. With Google Classroom, students can work on assignments and projects from anywhere, at any time, using their computer or mobile device. Teachers can post announcements, assign and grade work, and provide feedback and support to students. By using Google Classroom, we can create a more connected and collaborative learning experience for everyone involved, making it easier for students to stay engaged and succeed in their studies.
